Course Description:

Our new dimensional refined and precise syllabus for easy yet intensive learning of Carnatic Music delves into the rich tradition of South Indian classical music. This is thoughtfully structured to reflect contemporary trends, ensuring relevance and adaptability in today’s musical landscape. This comprehensive Graded syllabus framed covers all aspects of Carnatic music including fundamentals, vocal techniques, rhythmic patterns, intricate compositions, and theoretical knowledge, thereby enabling the students to have an in-depth knowledge of the art both practically, theoretically and hone their skills.

The syllabus consists of five distinct levels: Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, Pro I, and Pro II, each meticulously crafted to build upon the previous stage, ensuring a seamless progression that supports the student’s growth and development. In the Beginner level, students will familiarize themselves with the foundational elements of Carnatic music, such as basic ragas, talas, and simple compositions, providing them with a solid footing on which to build their knowledge. As they advance to the Intermediate level, students will explore more complex ragas and compositions, practicing their techniques through guided exercises that foster creativity and individual expression.

At the Advanced level, learners will immerse themselves in the intricate nuances of the art form, studying advanced ragas and their applications in improvisation, as well as delving into the intricate theories that underpin the music. Pro I and Pro II levels are designed for those aspiring to master Carnatic music, focusing on performance techniques, advanced improvisational skills, and a deeper understanding of the historical and cultural contexts of the compositions they study. 

Additionally, the syllabus encourages collaboration and interaction among students through group learning sessions, workshops, and performance opportunities, fostering a sense of community that enhances the learning experience. 

Course duration

The duration for completing each grade is flexible and personalized, depending on the student’s individual pace, capability and commitment.

Age group: 6 years & above

Class size:

  • Individual Lessons One-on-one private instruction tailored to each student’s pace and goals. Duration: 30 or 45 minutes per session
  • Group Classes Collaborative learning environment with up to 8 students per batch with a duration of 45 minutes per session with instructors ensuring individual attention to support every student’s unique progress and learning style.

Assessment/Exams & Certification:

We provide a comprehensive Certificate Program that is divided into ten distinct levels: Beginner, Intermediate I, II, III, Advanced I, II, III, Pro I, and Pro II. Each level is meticulously designed to cater to the varying needs and skill sets of our students, ensuring that they receive a tailored educational experience that fosters growth and learning at every stage. To assess students’ progress effectively, our program includes both internal and external evaluations, emphasizing a balanced approach that reinforces both theoretical understanding and practical application. This dual assessment strategy not only helps students gauge their knowledge but also prepares them for real-world scenarios where they can apply their skills.

In addition to these evaluations, we offer certification for Junior, Senior, and Proficiency Grades, which are aligned with the Karnataka Government examination board standards. 

As they complete each level, students will not only gain valuable insights and competencies but also become part of a vibrant community of learners who share their passion and aspirations.
