Ram is a Singaporean-Indian Chemical Engineer, visionary leader who stands as a testament to the harmonious blend of passion and professionalism.
He has an impressive academic journey and reached its pinnacle with a distinguished Master’s Degree from the prestigious Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. Ram’s early career began with the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), then as Senior Process Engineer at Tata Consulting Engineers Ltd. where he developed critical technical skills that propelled him to the roles of Senior Project Engineer in Qatar General Petroleum Corporation,Doha and Engineering Project Manager at Sembawang Engineering Ltd., Singapore. His professional trajectory led him to the United States of America as an Operations Manager at Messer Group-Texaco, Houston and subsequently to Engineering Manager at Rotary Engineering Ltd., Singapore, where he continued to excel.
Notably, he played a pivotal role in establishing the India Engineering Centre for Técnicas Reunidas Ltd., a Spain based engineering and construction company and one of the world’s leading Engineering, procurement, and construction contractors, underscoring his strategic vision and dedication to advancing the engineering sector. As its Director of Indian Operations, Ram has consistently demonstrated his exceptional ability to navigate complex engineering challenges, drive innovation, and foster collaborative environments, making him a respected figure in the engineering industry. Boasting nearly two decades of comprehensive expertise in chemical engineering, spanning across international landscapes, including dynamic cities like Doha, Houston, and Singapore, he embodies a global perspective that enhances his work in the engineering sector. His travels have taken him to 16 countries and 70 cities across the globe.
Although Ram pursued a career in chemical engineering, his enduring passion for music remained a defining aspect of his life. His daughter, Priyadarshini, had similar interest and passion towards music who fulfilled his dream to become a playback singer. After she became an established playback singer in the Indian film industry, they wanted to give back to the society and thus PRISM Foundation was born. He envisioned a nurturing platform where aspiring students and emerging artists could receive high-quality education and resources to flourish their artistic endeavours.
His vision was not merely about personal success; it was about creating a legacy that would enrich the cultural fabric of the community. PRISM Foundation is a sanctuary for creativity, embodying Ram’s ideals of hard work, discipline, and perseverance serving as a catalyst for students to achieve their artistic dreams.
