Dr. Priyadarshini is an International award winning Singaporean-Indian Playback Singer, Live Performer, Music Researcher, Music Educator, Co-Founder of PRISM Recording Studios, PRISM Foundation – International School of Music and Arts, Managing Director of PM Audios & Entertainments. As a Playback Singer, she has an extensive portfolio, having lent her enchanting voice to over 180 films across various languages including Tamil, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi. Her versatility shines through her recording of more than 1000 songs for private albums and jingles, showcasing her talent in over 18 Indian and foreign languages. In a pioneering move, she became the first playback singer in India to receive a Ph.D. Doctorate Degree for her research on 100 years of Kannada and Tamil film music

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and a Master’s degree in Carnatic classical music from the University of Madras. Her commitment to music education is evidenced by her training in Western music from the Royal Schools of Music, London, as well as her proficiency in Hindustani classical music. Her Ph.D doctoral thesis is groundbreaking work and is recognized as the first sourcebook for film music research, reflecting her deep commitment to the academic study of music.

She is the co-founder of the PRISM Recording Studios and PRISM Foundation – International School of Music and Arts, where she fosters new talent and promotes the arts.
